Frequently Asked Questions
What are your workouts like?
We call our workouts “strength and movement training.” The first half of your workout will generally consist of corrective exercises, functional movements and appropriately aggressive mobility drills to bulletproof joints, correct posture, and prepare your body for the day’s strength work.
These are followed by your strength-focused “primary exercises” of the day where you will perfect your technique in movements like the squat, deadlift, overhead press, and much more.
Here you will follow a training program where each workout builds upon the last. This is not another HIIT or bootcamp style workout.
I've tried working out before and never get results, how will this be any different?
We are a results-oriented gym, so if you’re not getting the results you came for – that’s a problem for both of us. I could tell you that the average person loses 8.27 pounds in the first 28 days (average… which means most people lose more). I could point you to our Google Business page where you will read dozens of 5 star reviews, or you could check out our testimonials page and see tons of before/after pictures.
But our high success rate comes down to this – we measure and track everything from your gym performance to your body composition (via our InBody 570), we check in regularly, and we hold you accountable to the daily actions that will take you where you want to go.
By measuring everything we can look at the hard data together and know – for sure – whether or not you’re moving in the right direction. Armed with this data we can make wise decisions about how to move forward each month, preventing you from showing up to the gym to do all this hard work and just kinda… hoping that something good happens.
Suffice it to say we know a thing or two or making people stronger and leaner! Ultimately though, your success comes down to you. You will get out of our program exactly what you put into it.
How much does membership cost?
It all depends on how you get involved, what kind of goals you have, where you’re starting, and how quickly you want to get where you’re going.
We are a results-oriented gym, so what it takes for you to get to your goals will look different than for someone else.
Click the Apply button at the bottom of this page to see if we’re currently accepting new members and schedule a no pressure consultation.
Is your program ok for a beginner?
Yes, it was designed for it. For any exercise to make it into one of our programs, it’s a requirement that it’s able to be scaled down to the point that even a complete beginner could successfully train the movement pattern.
For this reason we don’t perform high impact or high risk exercises like olympic lifting, box jumps or burpees – the risk is just not worth the reward for people seeking fat loss and general fitness.
Staying injury free is the name of the game when it comes to training for life, so keeping you safe is priority number one.
Do you work with people who have had lots of injuries?
If you have been cleared by your doctor and/or phyiscal therapist to exercise – absolutely.
Owner Nate Birner’s storied injury history is a large part of the reason this gym even exists, and helping other people navigate those tough situations is our passion.
Our groups are kept small enough that we can always adjust course as needed in your workouts and make sure you’re getting the attention you need.
Who are your typical members? Will I fit in?
We have had all kinds of people follow our programs from women in their late 60’s with multiple aritifical joints, to high school athletes building strength to prepare for collegiate athletics. You could be working next to a guy bouncing back from knee replacement and a woman training for an Iron Man race in the same day.
Most of our members are normal working professionals between the ages of 35-55, but as long you’re authentic, non-judgemental, respectful, and supportive, you’ll fit in just fine.
How long are your workouts?
You will want to budget one hour for your workouts.
That said, you will be following your own workout at your own pace, so you may not necessarily finish at the same time as everyone else. Some days you may be done a little early, and some days you may still be finishing up after the hour.
But if you’re pressed for time, we are glad to help you focus on the highest value exercises for your specific body to maximize your time with us.
What are the workout times? What days do we train?
At present we train on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule and offer workouts at 5am, 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am, 5pm and 6pm. You will choose your preferred slot as your “primary” workout time, but always have the option to adjust your schedule as needed via our app.
Our workouts are not random – they all build on eachother. So in the event you’re traveling or can’t make it into the gym, you will have access to the day’s workout via app so you can complete it on your own.
We are always accepting suggestions and building waitlists for new workout times. We require 3 people to open up an additional workout time.
What does your nutrition coaching look like?
We believe that if we’re not coaching you to be self-sufficient to navigate your nutrition for life, we are doing a poor job. So our nutrition program is closer to a nutrition curriculum.
The program starts strict and over the course of time you are given more nutritional freedom, but also more responsibility to make sure you stay “between the lines.”
By the end you will be armed with the info you need to make good decisions, but we will always be there to guide you and make adjustments at your accountability checkins.
What makes Fit Goal Culture different?
We know you by name. We want to know about what’s going on in your life. We are genuinely interested in your success. We care about you. You will find that the community of members is much the same.
Do you offer childcare?
We love kids, and we love that you want to be a great influence by introducing them to the gym environment early!
Unfortunately we do not have to facilities to provide childcare at this time. As the gym continues to grow, we hope to be able to offer it in the future. Stay tuned…
